Please tell your experience. Trying to see if, with the JW veil removed that this phenomenon actually happens and how you would explain it.

a wedding is in the works for my dad!
he's been very lonely since my mother's death.
the bride's in her 80's, and a lonely jw who lost her husband a few years back.
Good for him bother. Hope he's able to knock the bottom out of it. Enjoy life while you can. Wish him and her many happy years.

hello all, i had some questions regarding the booklet 'should you believe in the trinity?
' i should mention that i'm a catholic and my brother is a jw baptised some 15-20 years ago.
since he found 'the truth' he had been quite vocal regarding the manyu, many false teachings of the catholic church.
I remember growing up in the Baptist faith reading the Bible and always thinking that God and Jesus were separate. Then started hearing preachers talking about this Trinity concept and thinking.............WTF!!!

i've been out for a little while now - fading was my chosen strategy.
before then, elder for around 20 years - all the usual stuff.. why leave?
(1) reading other material and thinking for yourself - never too late (2) couldn't stomach any more judicial committees where i had to preside over handing out edicts that were going to wreck peoples' lives (3) final realisation that i'm not going to let my children die because of the false 'blood' interpretation (4) nail in the coffin, which opened my eyes to the 'rotteness at the core' of the organisation, was the deliberate mis-quoting of scientists and others, to make a lie seem like truth.. anyway, my wife (both pioneered together) is as zealous as ever - more so now.
Eyesthatsee.........welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are in a very delicate situation. I was "really in" for 13 yrs with the last 8 as an elder. Been out 15 yrs now and life is good. Good luck with this decision for your family.

I don't want to leave me wife and family. I've explained that the only issue I have is with the religion, although have never criticised the organisation (I know my wife will report me to the elders for apostasy if I do).
That's what's sad about the JW religion.....the fact that a man in his own house can't say he thinks the WTS is full of shit on some issues without fear of bringing repercussions on himself.

a description of a recording of rutherford played on the radio:.
judge rutherford.
august 10, 1941. wbbr, new york city.
I think that the tittle "Judge" tends to give subliminal support to his being able to render judgements. It made it easier to accept them as if her were one of the "judges" sent to save Israel by Jehovah. Just a guess. W.Once
Great observation WaE. I have always thought that the name "Judge" subliminally gave creedence to his words. Very interesting. Wonder if he had this "name" prior to moving up in the JW ranks?

i was leaving for lunch break from an acting workshop i took today.
about three blocks down i saw a jw sister standing by her van.
at first at thought maybe she's not a jw.
FS has to be much different than 15 yrs ago. With both parents working and kids in school you got a very high percentage of n-a-h's. Probably more so now. The JW reputation has taken a big hit from the internet. Big waste of time and personal resources.
